Hall of the Mountain Giant - The Giant and the Barbarian

...... "Huaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhh......." a loud roar shot across the arena, echoing itself among the hills. "What the bloody hell was that?" I opened my eyes, from what was darkness blurly regaining its light. It took a few seconds for my focus to return and in sight was Fat Foot trying to dodge every attack made by Michelle. "What noise was that just now? It woke the hell out of me" I shot towards Papath who was looking curiously at me. "Good to see you've awaken..you nearly got slammed by a tree, missing by inches, taking a branch right on your face". Well, a branch is still part of a tree, I thought to myslef, at least it didn't leave a horrid scar. "Yeah..didn't see that coming. But what was that noise?" I asked again. "Well, while you were taking a nap, the barb was trying his strength on the giant. So it was barb versus giant, giant won, barb went flying to oblivion..not that interesting" Papath replied pointing towards Kee. I looked towards the direction and saw what I though was the most pathetic sight ever, for Kee was lying down like a baby hugging a rock in his arms.
Meanwhile, Michelle was still frantically trying to down the giant, stabbing it continously with her poisoned dagger. "Darn..why won't you get poisoned, grow weak already" I could hear Michelle whimpering under her breath. "Uhh Michelle, maybe he's immune to poison?" Jenqir called out while firing his arrow towards Fat Foot. Minutes later, Fat Foot went into one of his special attack while shouting 'Spunktov...Spunktov'. I could see the giant leap from the ground, landing on it again with a great thump, each time shouting 'Spunktov'. The shockwave that was created sent Michelle lying on her back while Jenqir was trying his best to get a proper aim, each time swaying his bow left and right and up and down. "Crap..a giant who's immune to poison..I don't think im gonna be useful here" Michelle let out while trying to balance herself on her foot again.
Just then Ed drew out his sword, with his shield in the other hand, charged towards Fat Foot, bashing him towards the ground. In the moment of Fat Foot's 'Spunktov', he failed to dodge the oncharging paladin, tripped on his toe and came crashing to the ground with the most satisfying noise ever. Fat Foot just lied there howling like a baby while Ed stood by with a puzzled look on his face. "And I was just getting warmed up..guess we managed to take down the giant?" Ed voiced out. "Fine..I give up..I will give you my seal" Fat Foot howled with a defeated look on his face.
And so it was, the party managed to get the second last seal before thier duel with the warlocks and beastmasters.

Hall of the Mountain Giant

It was just after sunrise that the party began their journey towards Mount Orthopedis, the place of dwelling of the mountain giant 'Fat Foot'. Somehow in the distant horizon, Mount Orthopedis seemed pretty far, clouded by mist and the fresh morning dew.

"Morning" I passed on the greeting to Jesse as she passed by. She looked funny today, as if she spent the whole night weeping every drop of liquid out of her. "What happened? You look hideous". "Oh...was down with some reaction with those white puffs floating around" she replied. "Wait..you mean the pollen? A druid who is allergic to pollen?? Now that's interesting" I let out with a laugh. Indeed it was spring again, finally after the dreadful winter blast which lasted pretty long this time around.
a
"Darn, I hate this giant business. Wish we could just get over it as soon as possible" Michelle, who was as usual in her attentive state, looking around to spot any possible attacks especially from those wild beast creatures gave a sigh. "Yeah, we know..can't we just whack him to oblivion?" Sook-sook lamented after, while swinging her club back and forth.

We reached the peak of Orthopedis to find Kee already waiting there. Somehow he managed to climb the mountain faster than the rest which seemed rather impressive. "Good to see you made it" grinned Ed. "Bwahahahaha...don't underestimate a barb" Kee bursted out briefly before being cut short by Michelle, " Save the achievements for later..Don't forget about that stupid giant we are up against". "Yeah, yeah..there goes the atmosphere.." mumbled Geer.

Fat Foot

It wasn't long before we felt the ground shake, thumping away as the sounds of huge stomping drawed near. "Oh Fuck! Here comes Michelle's favourite foe" I sighed away, drawing out my wand in hand. "Let's see if we can finish this quick today" Kee voiced out, swords weided in both hands. " This should be fun.." Papath jumped out strumming her harp playing a ridiculous sounding tune. " Oh..cut it out..that music is making me lose focus" Michelle gave out while trying her best to remain hidden with her hands clasped on her ears.

The sight of Michelle made me wanna choke, tried to hold my gag, temporarily losing focus on Fat Foot when, "What the..." before I knew it, a log was sent flying towards my direction at a remarkable speed, followed by darkness, total darkness. The last thing that I heard was someone shouting and a loud thud.........(to be continued)

Battlemaster - The Sword Mastery

After a weekend of celebration, the party once again gathered, this time to continue their training with the Battlemaster. Somehow, sword weilding and slashing isn't really the thing for me as I would have prefered the wand.

"Buahahah finally, the training I was waiting for..we go like this and like that and cut cut cut..." usually Kee the Barbarian isn't so keen with trainings but this one is kinda his favourite, afterall, its all about weilding swords and slicing opponents open. "Well, its just you then. I doubt the rest really enjoy the massacre" I remarked after Kee's cry for joy. " Yeah..and who thought wands was so fun anyway.." Kee sniggered back.

Various swords that were thaught

It was quite a sight to see Kee bouncing up and down with delight however it didn't last long. The Battlemaster was nowhere in sight for today and in his replacement, was a barmaid. " A bloody barmaid?? Teaching swords?? A barmaid??" Kee grunted along with other unheard cusses.

"Oh poor you. Better luck next time.."

Somehow that remark made the party turn heads, looking upon Papath the Bard who usually remained quiet which was rather queer since bards were supposed to be lively creatures.

The training today ended with an uttermost disaster with the druid trying to stab the dummy with the hilt of the sword, the assasin held the sword in such an awkward manner it was practically dangling upside down, the elf tried to use the sword as an arrow and the bard tied strings to the sword hoping it would play like a harp. The kender was hoping to fetch a high price if he sold the sword and the barbarian was practically yelling his head out on how wrong the barmaid was training the party..

The Orc'ish Tale - The Kender and the Warrior

"AAhhh...nice weather today. Pretty good time to get some training" The kender gave out with a delightful shriek. " A good morning to you too" came the reply from the rest of the party. Today was our third meeting with the Titov Orc, who pretty much was to teach us how to defend oursleves against small little imps. Today was supposed to be on imps who uses a breathing disability attack to stun its foes then leaving it gaping for air.

The Imps

It was quite a journey to the Orc lair as we decided to make the distance by foot, and thus marching our way through barren land to reach the destined point. "This is tiring...I need a break" Jess lamented, stopped awhile to catch her breath only to be passed by the rest of the party. " You better catch up..or you'll be last there" Draco grinned as he passed by her.

We reached the lair after somewhat a seasoned journey as we have walked the path quite plentiful times already. "Bwahahahahah....you guys walked here?? I thought you would have conjured a wagon to carry yourself here" a deep voice bursted out from behind. " Ahh.. Mr. Hamdd..We wanted to enjoy the weather" Ed replied the Titov Orc. " Well.. since we are all here now, lets begin.." continued Hamdd.
It wasn't even 30 minutes into the discussion, I was already in my own world, looked around and realized the rest of the party trying their best to keep up with Hamdd. "Ohhh this is worse that listening to the kender sing".......(smack). Geer picked up his bunch of papers and whacked Sook-sook after her remark which she responded by swinging her club in the air imitating a striking action. The rest just smiled at them both.
After what felt like a dreadful lesson, the party headed home, only leaving the half blood dragon to settle his debts with the sphnix and its riddles which was at another direction.

The Party - Introduction to the Journey

Before I would continue on boggling my head on how to write this blog into a whole story, I've come up with the character development...to be revealed in order.
  • The half blood dragon with skills of a wizard and might of a dragon, Draco
  • The one who mastered the skills of transfiguration, able to shapeshift herself into a boar, Jess the Druid
  • The master in blades and close combat, Kee the Barbarian
  • The one who strikes with stealth yet deadliness with her poison dagger, Michelle the Assassin
  • The tall, agile warrior who always remains the silent one, Jenqir the Elf
  • The leader, righteous and religious, Ed the Paladin
  • The one who's curiosity is very much able to kill a fox, Geer the Kender
  • The skillful young lady who mastered the art of bludgeoning, Sook-Sook the Warrior Princess

Now that the main characters have been set, it'll prolly make my life easier =p Till the story unveils ^_^

Battle with the Beastmaster - The Final Encounter

Once again I was at the swamp, looking for possible places of where the Beastmaster could have hid the Books of Seals. Difficult as it was since the swamp was all murky, misty and indefinitely a horrendous stench that filled my nostrils. I had revised my possible attacks on a serpent assuming that this time, I would possibly have the upper hand; assuming was where I went wrong..

I reached the opening where my last battle was held, and spotted on a piece of jagged rock, the Books of Seals; the Beastmaster, nowhere in sight. Slowly, I made an approach towards the books, cautiously trying to smell the trap, trying to hear as precise any rustling sounds that might have come from Slithus. If my opponent was supposed to be Slithus..

I neared the books almost barely grasping it with my hands when I felt the hair on my back stand. With a gulp, not knowing what was behind me or how easily I was ambushed, I had to think of an escape route. It was when I felt a a gush of wind, as if something was falling against me, only managed to barrel-roll in time towards safety.

A large claw-like leg poked against the ground of where I one once stood. It was black, hairy and almost eerie like..almost like a limb of a spider..and I was right..

Stood before me, a large black spider, looking hungrily towards me, clacking its jaws together
with a sickening most sound. A spider..poison..antidote..escape....
I knew I had to make this my final battle with the Beastmaster. I was growing tired of my journeys to the swampland and pretty much the battle with the Beastmasters creatures. I lobed every spell I knew towards the arachnoid, frantically, hoping to end this as fast as possible while dodging every attack that was thrown in return. Exhausted, raised my wand and muttered "Claustrum Argenti", a silver bolt shot from the wand hitting the spider at its abdomen, bursting its content. With that final shot, the spider fell on its back, legs folded in..I have won.
I gathered all the Books of Seals, gave the swamp one last glance, and left the forsaken place back to my den.

Battle with the Beastmaster - Second Encounter

The enchanted forest, once again I made my way past it to reach the zombie infested swamp-land on search for the Beastmaster. My quest for the Beastmaster is something I couldn't ignore, for in the grasp of him, lies my Book of Seals. This book is somewhat precious and most required in order to complete my training. Each time an opponent is defeated, a seal is gained showing progress but now, this book lies in the hands of the Beastmaster and I have to get it back.
I walked into the swamp, surrounded endlessly by zombies. These pitiful creatures seemingly just stare blankly into space, their eyes full of emptiness, their faces without expressions. Although zombies, they are pretty much harmless making it easier to pass my way through. I reached an opening in the midst of the swamp and in the middle, stood the Beastmaster.
"So you've come again I see. Trying to get back your book? Never! Bwahahahahaha.....Its mine now..."
I could only flinch at the Beastmaster's growl, slowing raising my wand, "I shall claim those books back..not just mine but those of my comrades as well".
The Beastmaster grinned, and before him appeared a huge green snake. Its eyes diamond in shape with a yellowish hue, its skin shimmering as it hits the sun rays. The only thing was, it had two tails, as if its been exposed to gamma radiation. "You want your books eh, well its right over here. Come and take it..if you live.."
A snake, of all things a snake. I never really paid attention in my anti-venom lessons and now, hooked with with a slithery situation. I tried to recall which spell would be effective against that cursed reptile. I knew I had to make the first move, one bite from that creature could leave me poisoned if not death. Not losing my focus, raised my wand "aques electres". A gush of water charged with electric spurted out from the wand hitting the snake, doing practically no damage, only angering it more.
"Water?? You though of using water to kill a snake??Bwahahahahahaha...this will be easy. Finish him!!" The beast master let out a cynical laugh enough to frighten the birds away. The snake made its advance, slithering its way towards me, its eyes now red with anger.
I dodged the snakes attack, hopped onto a nearby plank and did a evasive move almost acrobatic like. Funny, never thought I was that flexible. Gaining an advantage behind the snake raised my wand again and shouted " sphericus pyrorus". I wasn't aiming for the snake this time, I hit a branch from on of those swamp trees which manage to break it off from the tree, falling right onto the reptile. A loud hissing sound followed next.
"Nooo..Slithus..return to me" The Beastmaster gave a cry and the badly damaged snake made its way slowly towards its master. I wanted to end it there, raised my wand for a final attack but I was moments too slow. The snake was back with its master who dissapeared behind a mist, only a vioce to be heard "This isn't over yet..you will pay for what you've done"...
Exhausted, I returned to my den, not realizing the whole battle took me 1 hour this time...

Battle with the Beastmaster - The Optical Queen Encounter

It was a bright sunny day, a cool breeze passed through my spine giving me the chills. This time, I wasn't alone, with me was the Warrior Princess Sook-Sook, a skillful young lady who was once said to bludgeon a thousand fishes together into a pulp with her bare hands. We were off on our journey to encounter the Optical Queen together. Now the Optical Queen is known for creating much illusions to deceive the eye, it was said what the eyes don't see, the mind don't know but in the eyes of the queen, what the eyes see is what you wouldn't know.

"Its rather cold out here, lets hitch a ride on those carriages" The Warrior Princess addressed, staring blankly into the open. Indeed it was a cold morning despite the sun, with a glance to her, i nodded my head in reply. "Ok".

We stopped the carriage a nearby distant from where the Optical Queen was, and continued the trail on foot. In my mind, memorizing the required spells to take control of the illusions that were to be produced. We reached a large door but before we could react to open it, a dreadful troll blocked our path. "What business have you over here? This place is off limits.." the troll mumbled through its stained teeth. " We are here on business with the Optical Queen..she is expecting us" we replied. The troll looks at us reluctantly, then swung the doors open. "wait here" it said in a low voice.

We waited a while before being entertained by the queen. " I was expecting you..Are you ready?" In unison, we nodded. Not saying anything else, the queen summoned before us a huge eyeball-like creature....

"Whats that?" I asked staring at the newly conjured creature. The queen gave a meek smile almost evil-like, " deal with it ". I took a step back, eyes still fixed on the creature, slowly I drawed out my wand. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Sook-Sook had already drawn out her club of bludgeoning, waiting to strike.
The eyeball-like thing attacked me first. I took another step back, raised my wand in the air "sphericus pyrorus", a fireball launched itself out of the wand hitting the eyeball in its sclera. The creature retaliated for awhile before striking again with a deadlier force. Again another fireball flew out and we were both engaged in a fierce battle. Unknown to me, the eyeball thing launched one of its tentacles behind me knocking me down. Seeing what just happened, Sook-Sook raised her club, with a shout, started to bludgeon te eyeball creature, drawing its attention away for awhile.

I got back on my feet and started casting back my fireballs on it. Finally, we managed to defeat the creature, exausted but unharmed. All a sudden, the atmosphere changed and the queen appeared again. " Congratulations! You done well to defeat the illusion, I shall free you from your bonds with me". The Optical Queen boomed back from her thone.

"We did it! We are free from the Optical Queen" Sook-Sook gave out a delighted yelp. I just smiled for reply, knowing that I would have to encounter the Beastmaster later, only alone this time....
